0% HEAT Loan Financing in Boston
Spread what the rebate does not cover over a 0% loan, with the proposal and program forms prepared on our end.
The HEAT Loan, Explained Plainly
Under the HEAT Loan, Mass Save lets you borrow up to $25,000 and repay only what you borrowed, at 0%, for qualifying energy improvements, and heat pumps and weatherization are both on the list. It is made by participating banks and credit unions, and the lender is the one who approves the loan and sets its terms, so we never promise either. What we do is get everything ready so the application is not the thing that holds your project up. To use the loan, you will need an active Mass Save utility account on the house, our written proposal, a signed program authorization, the lender's approval and, at the end, an inspection of the finished work. For whole-home heat pumps, a Home Energy Assessment comes first, and it costs you nothing. Most homeowners stall somewhere in that list, usually at the forms. We write a proposal that gives the lender the scope and price it needs, prepare the authorization form with you, and show the rebate and the loan side by side so you can see how they work together. The rebate lowers the total, the loan spreads the remainder without interest, and you see all of it before you sign anything.
