Before You Dial

When you phone (617) 539-7658, have a rough idea of how the house is heated, how old the system is, who your utility is and whether you have had a Home Energy Assessment. If you do not know some of it, that is fine; we will sort it out together.

What We Cover on the First Call

  1. The building

House type, number of units, current fuel and what is not working.

  2. The programs

Which rebate path looks possible and whether the HEAT Loan could help.

  3. The next move

Whether a visit makes sense and what we would measure.

Calling Us: Quick Answers

Should I have my utility bill nearby?

If you can. The rebate and loan run through your utility account, but we can start without it.

Is there a charge for the call?

Talking costs nothing. Among the program steps, only Mass Save's Home Energy Assessment comes at no cost to you.

Do you talk with landlords?

Plenty do. Two- to four-unit landlords ring us about each apartment and which programs might fit.

Can I just ask one thing?

Sure. Quick questions are welcome and there is no commitment.

When does someone come out?

If the project looks like a fit, we set up a visit to measure the house and look at the current equipment.

Ready When You Are

Boiler, furnace, baseboard or something odder, say what heats the place today and what bugs you about it, and we will lay out the options and our share of the work.
